… a really small town.

So, the thing about small towns is that everyone knows your business.  You can fight it, and try and keep secrets, or you can just roll with it and let the chips fall where they may.  I choose to roll with it.

For instance, when my husband lost his mind and went around trashing me all over town before he lit out of here, I took it with a grain of salt.  Because I knew, the folks here were aware of the whole situation already and were probably waiting for it.  So when it went down, it was no big surprise, just a conclusion to the inevitable.  And they were all very supportive and sympathetic.  So that was nice.  That’s another thing about small towns.  We may bitch and snipe and find fault with our neighbors, but when a crisis arises – all is forgotten temporarily and the town gathers itself in support of whoever needs it.
